Zovil 800mg is a prescription medicine manufactured by Terrace Pharmaceuticals. It is a high dose antiviral medicine known as a synthetic nucleoside analogue that can prevent the Herpes virus from synthesising in the body. It is most commonly used to treat the symptoms of infections caused by the Herpes virus, and may help to reduce pain and speed up healing of specific Herpes symptoms such as blisters and body sores.

How Zovil Works

Zovil 800mg tablets contain 800mg of the active ingredient Acyclovir. When taken as prescribed, Acyclovir is transformed into Acyclovir Triphosphate in the body, which interacts with the DNA of the Herpes virus to stop it from polymerising. Polymerisation is the process that helps the virus to thrive, creating a large Herpes network across the body. By stopping this process from taking place, Zovil 800mg tablets can help to stop the virus replicating, preventing new symptoms and helping the body repair and heal.

Zovil Uses

Zovil 800mg is often used to treat:

• Genital Herpes sores
• Cold sores
• Shingles
• Chicken pox
• HIV-related infections of the skin, eyes, nose, and mouth
• Eczema Herpeticum
• Oral Hairy Leukoplakia

Zovil 800mg will not cure Herpes, but can prevent viral replication to ease symptoms.

Zovil Dosage

Zovil 800mg tablets should be taken as prescribed. Typically, the medicine should be taken as soon as possible after Herpes symptoms appear, and should continue for a course of between 5 – 10 days depending on the severity of the symptoms. Zovil 800mg tablets can be taken with food or without food, ideally at similar times each day. Symptoms should start to improve within the first few days of taking Zovil 800mg.

A missed dose can be taken as soon as you remember. However, if it is closer to the time of the next dose, skip and take the next dose as normal. Do not take two together.

Zovil Side Effects

Zovl 800mg is generally considered to be safe when taken as prescribed. However, as with many medications, some patients may experience mild side effects, including:

• Agitation and irritability
